How To Speed Up a Video on iPhone

If you want to speed up a video on your iPhone, you can use the built-in iMovie app, which allows you to adjust the speed of your video clips. Here's a step-by-step guide:

1. Open iMovie

  • If you don't have iMovie installed on your iPhone, you can download it from the App Store.

2. Create a New Project

  • Open iMovie and tap on the "+" button to create a new project.

3. Select Movie

  • Choose "Movie" to start a new video project.

4. Import Your Video

  • Tap on the "Create Movie" button.
  • Select the video you want to speed up from your Camera Roll.

5. Add Video to the Timeline

  •  Once your video is imported, drag it to the timeline at the bottom of the screen.

6. Adjust Speed

  • Tap on the video clip in the timeline to select it.
  • Tap the speedometer icon (it looks like a speedometer) at the bottom of the screen.

7. Choose Speed Option

  • You'll see options like 2x (double speed), 4x (quadruple speed), or you can choose "Custom" to set a specific speed percentage.
  • Select the desired speed option.

8. Preview Your Video

  • Play the video in iMovie to preview the changes. Adjust the speed as needed until you're satisfied.

9. Save Your Video

  • Once you're done editing, tap the "Done" button.
  • Tap the share icon (box with an arrow) to export your sped-up video.

10. Save or Share

  • Choose how you want to save or share your video. You can save it to your Camera Roll, share it on social media, or export it to other apps.

That's it! Your video is now sped up according to the selected speed option. iMovie provides a user-friendly interface for basic video editing tasks, including changing the speed of your videos.
